Track: Karkash Wadi

A short 1-2  hour desert hike for the whole family to one of the hidden ravines of the grand Zin Riverbed.
Karkash Riverbed named after a plant rattling jangling apple seeds during gusts of wind The mile and half-long route begins at the meeting of the Highway 40 and Reference Midreshet Ben Gurion. There you will have to park one vehicle and the second you should leave at the end of the track, in the lower parking area of Zin River.
At the side of the road where the roads meet there is a sign marking the entrance to the creek – the route is marked in green. Start down the steep path and immediately, you will reach the limestone rock shelves and in niches filling with water after floods. You should stop for a  look up the cliff and see the sculpture, nature has created in the rock. After about 20 minutes’ walk there is a short section in the soft chalk and white. Follow by  bedrock purposes of black tapered.
There are some initial segment plays black and white colors, until you reach a dry waterfall about six feet high. you should be careful and help each other, as you are going down. After the fall there are two steep ledges. And then until the car park the colour of the creek becomes pale yellowish, with many kind of plants and flowers. The riverbed expands until it intersected with Chvarim river, it’s another 300 meters until you reach your car.
